Nice DVD combi September 8, 2009 B. Lawrence (Tewkesbury, UK) 50 out of 50 found this review helpful
I bought this on behalf of my inlaws. The TV is very quick and easy to setup and picture and sound is great considering cost and size. I roadtested the set a bit before handing over to the inlaws. I was after an upgrade on an older Toshiba 15" Combi but ended up getting the larger 22" for myself. Both sets are brilliant and Toshiba are one of the best you can get if you want Freeview, Lcd and Dvd all in one.
Picture size adjustable August 12, 2009 Scotty (London, UK) 33 out of 34 found this review helpful
Actually I bought the 22" version but only after reading the useful review by Krodders "khr174" of this smaller set. Early impressions are excellent - it's very easy to install, quite stylish, good clear picture. Reason for placing my comment here is because, at least on the 22" version and I suspect the 19" one as well, there is a picture size button on the remote that allows you to increase the size of the analogue picture. We don't yet have a digital signal so I can only hope that Toshiba have fixed the design fault that, it seems, afficted the earlier version of this combi product.
very very good lcd tv quality December 10, 2009 Luca 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I already have a Sony award winning lcd/tv for my leaving room with surround system and a 19" award winning Panasonic for my bed room and I decide this time to invest in a combi tv/dvd for my kitchen. The Toshiba is a very elegant and stylish lcd/tv with his glossy black case and very good quality of plastic compared to other cheaper lcd tv. The picture quality is very good (just needs a very quick set up of the audio and video settings to drastically improve the black, contrast and color level). The audio is a bit funny with the factory settings (not deep) but actually just increasing the bass to his max level(50) and reduce the treble to about 15 for example you will improve it and will sound more realistic. The dvd quality is standard, not impressive if you normally watch blu ray or upscaled dvd but acceptable. I gave 5 star because it is a great compromise between quality and cost. I hope my review will be helpful for some of you. Well, time to watch some tv now..ciao
STYLISH, FEATURE PACKED TV September 23, 2009 Dragonfly (Wales,UK) 24 out of 25 found this review helpful
Excellent tv. Simply plug it in, connect aerial, use auto setup and within minutes you are ready to watch. The integrated DVD player is an absolute bonus too. The photograph on the website does not do this tv justice, piano glossy black with a faint edging of grey around the outer edge, very stylish. Sound quality is good , rounded and not tinny. Bought for the kitchen and the rubberied button on the remote are ideal especially when you may have wet hands etc whilst cooking. Highly recommend this product, well done Amazon for another competitive priced product.
Splendid piece of kit December 9, 2009 P. D. Rogers (South Shields,England) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought this for my son this Christmas but obviously gave it a trial run.
The first thing that is apparent is the quality of materials, stand, remote, buttons and general finish. Plug it in, press a couple of buttons to start auto set up, within a couple of minutes everything tuned in,analogue and digital.
The picture quality is amazing. Some people have pointed out in their reviews about
4:3 analogue picture and poor sound. The sound could be better, but both bass and treble are adjustable, as is the aspect ratio, colour, contrast, sharpness etc.
I guess alot of people don't read instructions.
This is a top quality product at a good price, very easy to use and pleasing to the eye.
Regards
David.
